Braja Gopal Bag is currently a Professor at the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, Vidyasagar University.  He obtained M. Sc. in Chemistry from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 1989. He worked under the supervision of Professor Uday Maitra, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore in the areas of asymmetric synthesis and molecular recognition and was awarded PhD degree in 1994. Then he moved to Germany in 1996 as an Alexander von Humboldt fellow where he carried out his post-doctoral research in the laboratory of Professor Guenter von Kiedrowski in the area of non-enzymatic self-replicating systems.   He joined the Vidyasagar University as a Reader in Chemistry in the year 2000 and promoted to full Professor in 2008. His current research interests are plant metabolites as renewables, self-assembly, triterpenoids, nano-science and technology, green chemistry, hybrid materials and catalysis.

Paresh Chandra Ray carried out his PhD work from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India.  He is currently a Professor at the Jackson State University, USA. His main research interests are: Developing Novel Nanomaterial for Bio-Nanotechnology: The development of new scientific concepts and technologies, especially in emerging interdisciplinary fields, is the career goal of Dr. Paresh Ray. As a new faculty Dr. Ray’s vision is to continue research at the interface of chemistry and biology that include exploring new chemical strategies for the imaging and therapy of cancer cell, multi drug resistance bacteria, creating new nanobased sensor for different chemical and biological toxin, designing multifunctional nanomaterial for multimodal imaging, and enhancing our understanding of biomolecular interaction with nanosurface.

Arindam Banerjee has earned his Ph.D. (Science) degree in 1997 from Molecular Biophysics unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India under the supervision of Prof. P. Balaram. He was a visiting scientist (Postdoctoral Fellow) in Weizman Institute of Science, Israel from 1998 January to June 1998. Then he joined in Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, India on 1st July 1998 as a lecturer in department of Biological Chemistry and he has become the senior professor from Dec. 2014. His current research area includes self-assembly of peptides /amino acid  derivatives; smart soft materials, gels, multipurpose applications of these soft materials including carriers for anti-cancer drugs and other biologically important molecules; organic-inorganic functional nanohybrids; white-light emitting materials and fluorescent noble metal nanoclusters. He has published more than130 research papers in various international journals. He has received several  International/National recognition/awards/prizes including  Fellow of  Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), U.K.,  Editorial Advisory Board member in Soft Matter, A RSC journal (2014-); Fellow of Indian Academy of Sciences(Bangalore) 2015, Received Thomson Reuters Research Excellence India Citation Award in 2015 ,  B.M. Birla Science Prize in Chemistry for the year 2005; R.C. Saha Memorial Award Lecture in Indian Science Congress 2005; Young Career award for NanoScience and Technology by Nanomission, DST, Govt. of India  2014, received  Prof. C.N.R. Rao National Prize in Chemical Sciences 2017 .  His publications have  citations  more than 4500 with  h-index 38.

Dr. Prasat Kittakoop received B.Sc. (Chemistry, 1st Class Honors) from Chiang Mai University, Thailand, in 1989 and PhD (Biochemistry) from University of Wales, UK, in 1992. He worked at the National Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology (BIOTEC), Thailand, during 1992-2005. He has joined Chulabhorn Research Institute and Chulabhorn Graduate Institute since 2005 and 2007, respectively.    Dr. Prasat Kittakoop has been working on natural products chemistry and medicinal chemistry. Recently he has expanded research interest to green chemistry, particularly for the synthesis of bioactive molecules.

Dr. Rajkumar Banerjee is currently working as Principal Scientist, CSIR-IICT, Hyderabad and Associate Professor of Chemical Sciences, AcSIR, India. His primary research focus is to understand the basis of cancer through the eyes of a chemist. Using chemical biology and bioorganic tools he loves to design new bioactive molecules and delivery systems for targeting, imaging and treating cancer. In the process he has rediscovered, rather reemphasized, new targets in cancer. Notable among these are glucocorticoid receptor, N-end rule pathway, estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, sigma receptor, folate receptor etc. Earlier, Banerjee after having completed his B.Sc. (Chem Hons.) (1992) and M. Sc. (Chemistry) (1994) with organic chemistry specialization from Jadavpur University joined IICT, Hyderabad for his PhD in the area of development of non-viral gene delivery agents under the guideship of Dr. Arabinda Chaudhuri. Soon after his PhD (2000) he served in the laboratory of Prof. Leaf Huang as Post-Doctoral Research Associate and as SASS Foundation Fellow for Cancer Research. Therein, he worked towards the development of targeted liposomal chemotherapeutic agents for treating prostate cancer. Following this, in 2003 he joined back to his alma-mater and continued to work as Staff Scientist in various capacities. He was the recipient of CSIR Young Scientist Award in Chemical Sciences (2006), IUSSTF visiting fellowship (2009), CDRI Award for excellence in drug discovery (Chemical Sciences 2012) etc.

Subhrangsu Mandal is an Associate Professor at the Deartment of Chemistry and Biochemistry, University of Texas at Arlington. He rceived BSc (Honors), MSc (first class first) and PhD in Chemistry from the Midnapore College, Kalyani University, and Indian Institute of Science.  After PhD, Dr. Mandal joined the laboratory of Professor Reha-Krantz as an Alberta Heritage Foundation for Medical Research (AHFMR) postdoctoral fellow at the University of Alberta, Canada. He later moved to the laboratory of Professor Danny Reinberg, at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ)/Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), to research on eukaryotic transcription and gene regulation. In 2005, he became an Assistant Professor in UTA. Dr. Mandal is an expert in biochemistry of human gene regulation, epigenetics and disease. His current research is aimed towards understanding the fundamentals of human gene transcription, steroid hormone signaling, endocrine disruption and their implications in cardiovascular diseases and cancer therapeutics. He has published more than 60 publications in top international journals, written invited reviews, written book chapters, edited books, have patent, and presented seminars in various conferences around the world. Research from his laboratory is featured on the cover page. Dr. Mandal's research is funded by National Institute of Health, American Heart Association, Texas Advanced Research Program and National Science Foundation. 

Bidyut Kumar Senapati is an Assistant Professor at Prabhat Kumar College, West Bengal, India. He received his B.Sc. Hons. in Chemistry (1999, 1^st class, 3^rd rank) from the Midnapur College, Vidyasagar University. He scored 99.03 percentile in GATE examination (rank 19), 2001. He also awarded junior research fellowship by UGC-CSIR in 2000. After being awarded M. Sc. Degree (2001, 1^st class, 2^nd rank) from the Vidyasagar University, he joined the department of chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur in 2001 for his doctoral research under the supervision of Prof. Dipakranjan Mal. He received his Ph. D. degree from the same institute in 2007. His areas of specialization have included the synthesis of natural products, furanosteroids, carbazole chemistry and catalytic asymmetric transformations. Prof. Senapati did postdoctoral work at the Sungkyunkwan University, Suwon, South Korea (2008-2010, under the supervision of Prof. Do Hyun Ryu). His regular teaching responsibilities include organic chemistry, advanced organic chemistry and special topics in pericyclic reactions.
